Wainwright's Tour in the Lake District Whitsuntide 1931

DAY ONE: Windermere to Patterdale - 16 miles 3850 feet - Orrest Head, Garburn Pass, Yoke, Ill Bell, Froswick, Thornthwaite Crag, High Street, The Knott and Angletarn Pikes.

DAY TWO: Patterdale to Keswick - 20 miles 6900 feet - Striding Edge, Helvellyn, Helvellyn Lower Man, White Side, Raise, Stybarrow Dodd, Watson's Dodd, Great Dodd, Calfhow Pike, Clough Head, White Pike, Mariel Bridge, Wallthwaite, Scales, Sharp Edge and Blencathra.

DAY THREE: Keswick to Buttermere - 19 miles 6650 feet - Portinscale, Catbells, Mainden Moor, High Spy, Dale Head, Hindscarth, Robinson, Knott Rigg, Ard Craggs, Sail, Wandope and Whiteless Pike.

DAY FOUR: Buttermere to Wasdale - 18 miles 7750 feet - Red Pike, High Street, High Crag, Haystacks, Brandreth, Green Gable, Great Gable, Kirk Fell, Looking Stead, Pillar, Scoat Fell, Red Pike and Dore Head.

DAY FIVE: Wasedale to Langdale - 14.5 miles 6300 feet - Brown Tongue, Scarfell Pike, Broad Crag, Great End, Esk Pike, Bowfell, Shelter Crags, Crinkle Crags, Cold Pike, Pike O'Blisco and Blake Rigg.

DAY SIX: Langdale to Windermere - 15 miles 3400 feet - Pike O'Stickle, Harrison Stickle, Pavey Ark, Sergeant Man, High Raise, Greenup Edge, Calf Crag, Gibson Knott, Helm Crag, Grasmere, Rydal Water and Pelter Bridge.
