Overton Hill to Ivinghoe Beacon 85.5 miles/137 km

Following much of the ancient Wessex Ridgeway and Icknield Way, the Ridgeway has an abundanace of archaeological remains as well as chalk downland flora and fauna to interest walkers. From Overton Hill, near the ancient stone circle of Avebury, the stretch up to the River Thames at Goring is also open to horse riders and cyclists. From Goringthe path follows the escarpment of the Chiltern Hills, ending at Ivinghoe Beacon near Dunstable.
